“I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame. I was a father to the poor; and for their cause I worked.” Job 29:15 & 16.
AS I LOOK BACK WITH GRATITUDE, AND GIVE THANKS TO GOD FOR FORTY YEARS IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY, I CANNOT HELP BUT RECALL SOME OF THE MEMORABLE EVENTS THAT DOTTED THE BRIEF SPAN OF MY YEARS OF MINISTRY IN THE USA. SOON AFTER I WAS FELICITATED BY THE PRESIDENT AT THE WHITE HOUSE, I WAS INVITED TO CAPITOL HILL, WASHINGTON DC., BY A MEMBER OF THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, CONGRESSMAN CHRIS VAN HOLLEN, AND WAS AWARDED A CITATION IN RECOGNITION OF MY MINISTRY AMONG TSUNAMI VICTIMS, AND THE POOR AND THE UNDER-PRIVILEGED OF SOCIETY. CONGRESSMAN VAN HOLLEN RECALLED HIS YEARS IN SRI LANKA AS A SCHOOL BOY WHEN HIS FATHER SERVED IN COLOMBO AS THE US AMBASSADOR FOR SRI LANKA. GOD BLESS YOU.
