Herds of wild elephants roam freely in Jeyapuram, a nondescript little village nestled well off the beaten track, in a parched and dry region in the Killinochchi district, which is home to about 45 families who have returned to their war-ravaged village to rebuild their war-battered homes, and their shattered lives. In April of 2016 we gathered under a small makeshift tin-roofed shed to comfort and console the hurting poor of this small hamlet, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We drove on hardly motor-able dirt roads to reach these kind folk who received us and the Gospel message with open hearts.
