“PREACH THE WORD; BE INSTANT IN SEASON, OUT OF SEASON;” – 2 Tim. 4:2.
“…FOR NECESSITY IS LAID UPON ME; YEA, WOE IS UNTO ME, IF I PREACH NOT THE GOSPEL!” -1Cor. 9:16.
A three-day, well attended “GOSPEL RALLY” was held at our Church complex with Late Pastor Moses Rajasekar as our guest speaker. He was an inspiration to all who attended the rally; as he was a chronically ill diabetic; battling with many diabetic-related medical conditions, and requiring dialysis – the clinical purification of blood- twice a week, as he had lost the functions of both of his kidneys. Even though it was during the height of the war, and travelling to Batticaloa was fraught with risks and dangers of various kinds, Pastor Rajasekar – despite his failing health, undertook the journey, and travelled through dozens of Military and Police check-points, on rugged and unpaved roads, to sing and to preach the “Gospel of Peace and reconciliation” to a war-ravaged and war-weary people. This was his first visit to Sri Lanka, and sadly it was also his last. In a few short years he went to be with the Lord! Though battling many crippling health conditions, he preached the Gospel till his last breath!
His pulsating messages through ‘music & song’ was well received, and many found ‘Peace, Joy & Salvation’ through Jesus Christ our Lord!
God bless you.
