Youth from different parts of the island participated in our recently concluded “YOUTH ALIVE” Camp meetings (13, 14 & 15 of Aug. 201) held at our Church Complex in Batticaloa. Prayer, Worship and Fun-filled activities geared to build Character that glorified Christ, lifted these youth to a realm of spiritual experience they’ve never known before.
Praise and Worship opened the hearts and minds of the youngsters to receive God’s word, and challenged them to commit their lives to full time ministry. Many youth renewed their commitment to follow Christ all the way, and to go where no man has gone before, and serve God even if it were to cost them their very lives! The three day Youth Camp, as it concluded, turned out to be a recruitment centre for the Armies of God, rather than a recreation centre for religeous fat-cats!!!
As there were many Sinhalese youth, the camp was conducted in both the Tamil and Sinhala languages. They had good, clean fun and also received solid, sound, Bible-based instruction.
