“Turning the other cheek” or” loving our enemies” has been at the heart of the Christian faith. Where as “Life for life, eye for an eye, and tooth for tooth has been at the heart of the Islamic faith. The irony of it all is that both these stances come from the Bible. One from the Old and the other from the New testament. But Jesus in his sermons reiterated time and time again that the new testament commandments superseded the old.
Christianity was born on the shed blood of its founder The Lord Jesus Christ, where as Islam was founded on the blood of thousands who were slaughtered by its founder, the so called prophet Mohamed. Being so, is it any wonder, that today ,the whole world is paralyzed to the point of inaction, in fact petrified beyond rationale to offend the Islamic world, but on the other hand care two hoots before offending or wreaking havoc on Christians and the Christian world?
